When swapping tokens in Ready X, you can adjust your slippage tolerance from the Swap screen.
Tap the settings icon in the top-right corner to view or change your slippage settings.
By default, Ready X uses a 0.5% slippage tolerance.
What is slippage tolerance?
Slippage is the difference between the price quoted when you create a swap and the price at which the swap is actually executed.
This can happen when:
- Market prices change before the transaction is completed.
- There is limited liquidity for the tokens you're swapping.
A 0.5% slippage tolerance means your swap will only complete if the execution price remains within 0.5% of the quoted price.
If the price moves beyond your selected slippage tolerance, the swap will fail instead of completing at a less favorable price.
How do I change the slippage tolerance?
- Open Swap.
- Tap the settings icon in the top-right corner.
- Adjust the slippage tolerance.
- Return to the Swap screen and continue with your swap.
A lower slippage tolerance gives you more price protection, but increases the chance that the swap will fail if the price changes.
A higher slippage tolerance makes the swap more likely to succeed, but the final price may be less favorable than the original quote.

Does slippage always make my swap more expensive?
No.
Slippage can work in either direction. If the price moves in your favor before the swap is executed, you may receive a better execution price. If it moves against you, the swap may execute at a less favorable price, as long as the difference remains within your selected slippage tolerance.
