This article is about updating the Ready Wallet extension to the latest version.
This is different from a contract upgrade and doesn't require any onchain activity, gas fees or signatures.
Updating Ready Wallet extension
Option 1
Restart your browser and the extension will update automatically.
If that doesn’t work, try option 2.
Option 2
If you are using Google Chrome or Chromium browser:
1. Go to chrome://extensions/
2. Toggle Developer mode
3. Click Update
If you are using Firefox:
1. Go to Extensions > Extensions
2. Click on the gear button next to Manage your extensions header.
3. Click Check for updates
Option 3
If you installed the extension manually before, it will not update automatically.
Follow these steps:
1. Save your seed phrase
2. Uninstall the extension
3. Install the latest version from https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/argent-x/dlcobpjiigpikoobohmabehhmhfoodbb (Chromium browsers) or https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/argent-x/ (Firefox)
Checking Ready Wallet extension versions
To find out which Ready Wallet extension version you are using, follow these steps:
1. Open Ready Wallet
2. Click the settings icon (top left corner)
3. Scroll down and check the version
To see the latest version available in Chrome store, go to https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/argent-x/dlcobpjiigpikoobohmabehhmhfoodbb and scroll down to the Details section:
In Firefox Addons, go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/argent-x/ and scroll down as well:
