Keeping Ready X up to date ensures you have the latest features, improvements, and security fixes.
Updating the Ready X browser extension is different from updating your account's smart contract. Updating the extension does not require any blockchain transaction or signatures.
Option 1: Restart your browser
Restart your browser.
In most cases, the Ready X browser extension will update automatically.
If it doesn't, try Option 2.
Option 2: Check for updates manually
Google Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers
- Open
chrome://extensions/. - Enable Developer mode.
- Click Update.
Firefox
- Open Extensions and themes.
- Select Extensions.
- Click the gear icon next to Manage your extensions.
- Select Check for updates.
Option 3: Reinstall the extension
If you originally installed Ready X manually, automatic updates may not work.
Before reinstalling, make sure you've securely backed up your recovery phrase.
- Open Settings > Security & privacy > Recovery phrase.
- Enter your password and save your recovery phrase securely.
- Uninstall the Ready X browser extension.
- Install the latest version of Ready X from the official browser extension store.
- Recover your wallet using your recovery phrase.
Always use the official Ready X extension links below. Installing an unofficial wallet extension may put your assets at risk.

Check your Ready X version
To see which version of Ready X you're using:
- Open Ready X.
- Open Settings.
- Select About Ready X.
